Reading Buddies
Caught this pair of reading buddies in the act… love that Bryson is including his little sister Kaitlyn in the Read-a-Thon! Together they read through about 40 pages in the DISC Personality book series by Angel Tucker! I love these unique books that talk about how God made each child differently and with a unique personality!
You can learn more about these books (Kaitlyn’s favorites right now) at http://www.personalityprofiles.org/Order_Materials.html

Reading up a storm!
The Blizzard of 2011 continues to keep the boys out of school (8 days now and counting)… so they have been using this time to read their way through the storm!
They have now read 753 pages and are quickly closing in on their goal of 1000 pages!
The boys were very excited today when they learned that this blog and the story of what the boys are trying to do was featured on the website for The Water Project!
You can see that post Here:
Snow day reading

Bryson is really enjoying the Diary of a Wimpy kid Series… in fact he was so excited about the books and his read-a-thon that he woke up early on this second snow day in a row to read. He has read for six straight hours today! I could hardly pull him away for lunch… and when he did come to the table… he brought his book with him!
By himself Bryson has read 300 pages today- raising another $3.00 for The Water Project.
If you would like to commit a penny a page to the boys read-a-thon please visit the sponsor page and fill out the formand they will send you a link at the end of the month to send in your pledge!
The Read-A-Thon Starts today!
Bryson and Andrew are working to raise money for myWaterProject- an organization whose goal is to bring clean water to communities in Africa. The boy’s goal is build two wells for a community. Each well costs $4500.
They are planning to read all that he can in the month of Feb. Together they have set a goal to read 1000 pages. They are looking for people that will sponsor them at a penny a page for this effort.
If you are interested in donating $10 if they meet their goal to help them build a well for an African Community then comment below or subscribe to this blog to stay in touch with their progress.
Thank you all for your support and encouragement for the boys— I could not be more proud as a mommy!
